Bio: I began doing ministry after college as a volunteer retreat leader with Reach Youth Ministry. Following these rewarding years of ministry, I took a job as the Coordinator of Youth Ministry at St. Anne’s Church in Grants Pass, and at the end of my second year there while helping out with two back-to-back week-long retreats, I felt God call me to enter seminary. At the beginning of the first retreat, I felt no call. Two weeks later I knew God was calling me to the priesthood. Those two weeks were a time of prayer, and when the call came I was at peace.
I entered seminary in 2010, and studied at Mount Angel Seminary for two years, followed by five years at the North American College in Rome. I was ordained a Priest for the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon on June 3
rd, 2017 by Archbishop Sample.
Education: BS in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University; STB from the Gregorian University in Rome; STL in Liturgical Theology from the Santa Croce University in Rome.
Ministry Experience: 4 weeks of volunteering with the Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta; 1 week observing the work of Catholic Relief Services in Bosnia; 1 year as a Deacon at St. Mary’s in Eugene, 1 year serving as Parochial Vicar at Holy Trinity in Beaverton.
