Bio:
G.K. Chesterton said, “The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and left untried.” As a convert to the Catholic Faith, Nick is passionate about living and loving the life of the Church. Nick is a teacher and currently serving on the Board of Directors for Chesterton Academy. He has taught theology, Church History, philosophy, and humanities for 15 years. He has a B.S. in History Education with a minor in Bible from Corban University and a M.Ed. in History from Western Oregon. Like many converts from Protestantism, Nick read the Early Fathers of the Church and devoured theology books. After some intense discussions, a lot of reading, family tension, some lost friendships, and a decision to resign from teaching theology at a Reformed school, Nick and his family were received into full communion with the Church before Holy Week, 2011. He lives in Oregon with his wife Katie, three adorable daughters and two sons.
